Kevin Gray (b. 1954) is an American mastering and lacquer cutting engineer. Career milestones:
1972–1977 worked at Artisan Sound Recorders; began his career at the age of 18.
1977 co-founder of Cohearent Sound
1979 opened
1982–1984 headed the mastering department of MCA at MCA Whitney Recording Studios.
1984–1989 worked at, Burbank.
1989 helped Location Recording Service venture into CD mastering.
1995–2001 —
1997–2001 — [part time]
2001–2010 – [full-time]
2010 to present — [owner + mastering]
Kevin's runout signature is KPG + mastering house (LRS, TCS, FDS, ATM, MCA, CA). Says Kevin Gray: "I only used KPG, with the PG of KPG mooshed into something that looks like an M." Please don't add the @ XXX part as ANV, as it refers to the studio, not the engineer.
