English artist manager and promoter, music and film producer, and visual artist, born 13 March, 1942, in Forest Gate, London, England, UK.
Childhood friend of Chris Stamp and Mike Shaw. Originally an apprentice draftsman, then joined the Merchant Navy with Shaw. Hired by Stamp and Shaw to work at New Action Ltd. and Track Records in December 1970, where he eventually became director. Became Roger Daltrey's personal manager in 1973, and they formed Goldhawke Productions Ltd. in 1974.
On 2 January 1974, he and his then wife Jackie Curbishley established Trinifold Ltd. which, on 27 January 1989, was renamed Trinifold Management Limited and he became its company director.
Eventually resigned from Track Records as the company disintegrated due to Lambert and Stamp's mismanagement, managed a Rolling Stones European tour on request of Peter Rudge, and, in April 1976, officially became The Who's manager, taking over from Rudge. Later managed Steve Gibbons, Judas Priest (starting 1983), Robert Plant, Jimmy Page (staring 1994), and UB40, among others.
Former majority owner of Estupendo Records Ltd., Trinifold Management Ltd. and Trinifold Music Ltd.
Produced The Who's films Tommy, McVicar, and Quadrophenia.
