Born December 18, 1919 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.
Died January 13, 1983 in Bennington, Vermont, USA.
Galbraith played and toured with a who's who of artists and later was a studio player with even more. Just a few he played with include Art Tatum, Red Norvo, Hal McIntyre, Teddy Powell, Claude Thornhill, Benny Goodman and Stan Kenton.
Galbraith had a series of Guitar instruction books and LPs, publishing the "Barry Galbraith Guitar Study Series" in 1982.
