English-American (born May 2, 1939) jingle writer and lyricist who worked with Brian Wilson and co-wrote eight songs on the Beach Boys (opens in a new tab) 1966 album Pet Sounds, including "God Only Knows" and "Wouldn't It Be Nice". He also co-wrote songs with Roger Nichols.
