Ruth Lowe (August 12, 1914 – January 4, 1981) was a Canadian pianist and songwriter. She wrote the song "I'll Never Smile Again" after the death of her first husband, Herbert Cohen, a music publicist who died during surgery in 1939. She remarried in 1945 to and had two sons, Tommy (opens in a new tab) and Stephen. In 1982, the year after she died, she was inducted into the American Music Hall of Fame with an honorary Grammy Award.
