Showing the Discogs bio

English rock and blues guitarist and songwriter (born 18 December 1943, Dartford, Kent, England), best known as a founder member and guitarist of The Rolling Stones.
After the Rolling Stones signed to Decca Records in 1963, their band manager, Andrew Loog Oldham, dropped the 's' from Richards' surname, believing that "Keith Richard", in his words, "looked more pop". During the late 1970s, Richards re-established the 's' in his surname. A number of instances of this spelling are also the result of mis-types.
In a long-term relationship (1967-1979) with Anita Pallenberg, mother of his first three children, Marlon Richards (b. 10.08.1969), Dandelion Angela Richards (b. 17.04.1972), & Tara Jo Jo Gunne Richards (b. 26.03.1976). Father to Theodora Dupree Richards (opens in a new tab) from his second marriage.
