March 31, 1927 – August 15, 2007
Hassinger was recording sound engineer at. Through 1964-1966 he engineered albums for The Rolling Stones (opens in a new tab) and also signed & managed The Electric Prunes (opens in a new tab).
In 1969 Hassinger struck out on his own and purchased the old Moonglow Records studio and created. A second 'B' studio, Sound Factory West was created for a period, but closed when he expanded the original studio on Selma Avenue. He then bowed out of the business in 1980 and the studio remained empty. It was later purchased in 1981 by Tutti Camarata, who merged its identity with his Sunset Sound Recorders to become &.
