Beyoncé (born September 4, 1981, in Houston, Texas) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She first gained recognition as the lead singer of Destiny's Child before launching a solo career with the album Dangerously In Love (2003), and has remained consistant with subsquent releases B'Day (2006), I Am... Sasha Fierce (2008), 4 (2011), Beyoncé (2013), Lemonade (2016), Renaissance (2022), and Cowboy Carter (2024). Raised in Houston, she has appeared in films including Dreamgirls (2006) and The Lion King (2019), and directed visual albums such as Lemonade and Black Is King. Her music incorporates elements of R&B, pop, and hip-hop. As of 2025, Beyoncé has received 35 Grammy Awards from 99 nominations. In 2014, she ranked at the top of Forbes’​ Celebrity 100, and Time listed her among the 100 most influential people in the world.
