American jazz composer, orchestra leader and arranger.
Born 2 November 1911 in Querétaro, Mexico. Died 7 October 1968 in New York, USA.
Brother of Chuck Cabot (aka Carlos Guillermo Cascales) and Jack Cascales (aka Juan Adolfo Cascales). Richards married singer Pat Kaye in the early 1940's.
As a songwriter, Richards is best known for writing the music for the song "Young at Heart" by Frank Sinatra (lyrics by Carolyn Leigh).
