American songwriter. Best known for the film songs he wrote with his songwriter partner Al Kasha such as The Morning After from The Poseidon Adventure (Original Motion Picture Score) (US 2010) (opens in a new tab) and "We May Never Love Like This Again" from Irwin Allen's Production Of The Towering Inferno (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack). Both tracks won an Oscar. They also received two further Oscar nominations, both for Pete's Dragon.
