Biography

American mastering and lacquer cutting engineer, born on November 2nd, 1950 in Richmond, IN and died August 22, 2002, in Nashville, Tennessee.
Known for working at where his work can often be identified by his initials "DNP", "DP", "dp" or "denny" etched in the runout area. In those cases, please credit with Lacquer Cut By. Warning: the cursive "denny" (which looks like 𝒹𝑒𝓃𝓃𝓎), is often mistaken for "Jenny". Do not attempt to render cursive writing when adding BaOI.
He opened Georgetown Masters, INC. in 1984 along with Norbert Putnam and Ron Bledsoe (the latter two were silent partners). Denny Mastered over half of the top country charts in Nashville, TN. until the time of his death in 2002. His final project was remastering the 'Harvest' album by Neil Young to the 5.1 format. This double sleeve CD was made to look like a vinyl album with the similar label and also consisted of a DVD. Denny met and worked for Neil on the original 'Harvest' album in the early 70s when Elliott Mazer (Neil's producer), started 'His Master's Wheels'. (which was a US recording studio founded by producer Elliot Mazer in January 1973 as a mobile recording/ mastering truck).
