Biography

Showing the Discogs bio

American producer duo for House and Dance music based in New York, active since the late 1980's. Clivillés had Puertorican background, Cole was black. Thus, one of their first projects was a group called 2 Puerto Ricans, A Blackman And A Dominican in 1987.
One of their most successful projects followed in 1990 and was called C + C Music Factory. In the following time, the duo became a successful team to remix songs of Top40 artists, as Mariah Carey, Natalie Cole, Michael Jackson, New Kids On The Block or Whitney Houston.
Their collaboration ended abruptly, when David Cole died on January 24, 1995 aged 32. Robert Clivillés continued their work later as solo artist.
