Biography
Showing the Discogs bio
British recording engineer, guitar player and studio designer, born June 25, 1943, in North Wales, UK. Raised in Wallasey, UK, near Liverpool, and became a school-age friend of John Lennon, while attending the Liverpool College of Art.
Joined the band The Undertakers in 1961 as lead guitarist. When that band broke up in 1965 while on tour in the U.S., he remained in the U.S. After playing with Joey Dee & The Starliters and The Young Rascals, he started his career as a recording engineer and producer. Was working at Talent Masters, when it was purchased by Atlantic in 1967, and Huston was tasked with remodeling the studio. Known to have worked with Led Zeppelin, The Who, Todd Rundgren, Patti LaBelle, and others. Also became an audio consultant, acoustical engineer, and studio designer. Worked at Rives Audio, Inc., from 2004 to 2014. Later resided in Nashville, Tennessee.
