American singer songwriter, playwright and novelist. Born on 25th November 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was active in the folk pop (folk rock) genre from 1965 to 1972, with a second career since 2004. In 1966 he had his only big hit, Elusive Butterfly. As a songwriter, he was more successful, with over 200 artists covering his songs.
