Cockney-accented British jazz saxophonist, broadcaster, journalist, composer and author.
Born December 9, 1927 in Leeds, Yorkshire
Died June 22, 1998 at the Royal Marsden Hospital, Belmont, Surrey
At one time a jazz critic for "The Observer" (London) newspaper, he wrote liner notes for jazz albums as well as being a keen cricket enthusiast and broadcaster for BBC Radio 2.
His son Leo Green is also a jazz saxophonist.
