A Holiday Carole is a Pop album by Carole King, originally released in 2011. On Gatefold: 9 pressings tracked.
About
Carole King is known for keeping it in the family (having cowritten some of the biggest hits of the ‘60s with former husband Gerry Goffin); here, she employs her daughter Louise for production duties. This intimacy fuels A Christmas Carole, a sweet, playful interweaving of the spiritual (“Chanukah Prayer”) and the secular (the Latin-spiked “Christmas in the Air”). And she’s no slouch when it comes to the classics, as heard in her twinkling and evocative rendition of “Do You Hear What I Hear.”
