American bandleader, arranger, and composer.
Born 26 March 1916 in Brooklyn, New York, USA.
Died 5 January 2000 in Corona del Mar, California, USA.
Married to actress/singer Marion Hutton (1954 - 1987, her death).
Married to singer Kay Starr (1951 - 1954) (divorced).
Schoen is best known as The Andrews Sisters' musical director, working with them for twenty years. He also was musical director for movie studios and television.
In 1958, Vic Schoen and his band recorded with Les Brown and his band while each was in different studios, playing simultaneously and only able to see the conductor in the connecting control room with the recording of "Stereophonic Suite for Two Bands".
