Salvatore "Toto" Cutugno (7 July 1943, Fosdinovo, Tuscany – 22 August 2023, Milan, Lombardy) was an Italian pop singer-songwriter and musician. He was best known for his worldwide hit songs "Solo Noi" (1980), and "L'Italiano" (1983). Cutugno also won the Eurovision Song Contest 1990 held in Zagreb, SFR Yugoslavia, with the song "Insieme: 1992".
Cutugno started his musical career as a drummer and co-founded the band Albatros in 1974, before embarking on a songwritting career.
