Biography

Nashville, Tennessee, studio string ensemble, led by Sheldon Kurland. Frequently credited as "The Sheldon Kurland Strings."
Formed 1960s by Kurland, to organize local string players into a collective to perform live and on recordings. Primarily active in the 1970s to 1980s. Awarded numerous "Super Picker Awards," which was given each year to musicians who played on the most number one records.
