Born 24 July 1918 in San Bruno, California. Died 6 August 2012 in Palm Springs, California.
Brother of cellist George Ricci.
Considered a child prodigy, Ricci gave his first public performance in 1928 at the age of 10 in San Francisco and at the age of 11 he gave his first orchestral performance. He performed over 6,000 concerts in 65 countries and made over 500 recordings during his 70-year solo career.
