Ray Santos was a saxophonist, composer, arranger, and music consultant. Born in East Harlem in New York on December 28, 1928. His mother was a doll maker and his father was a doorman(both parents were born in Puerto Rico). When Santos was thirteen, the family moved to The Bronx. He is known for his work on The Mambo Kings - Music From And Inspired By The Motion Picture (US 2000) (opens in a new tab) as well as his collaboration with Linda Ronstadt on her album Frenesí. Ray died October 17, 2019.
