Biography
Showing the Discogs bio
German producer and sound engineer at Jack's Place Studio, Berlin, Germany. Also worked for Hansa Studios Berlin (Hansa Tonstudios).
Born 28 December 1942 in Leipzig, Germany, died 2 December 2022.
Peter Wagner completed his training as a sound engineer with Heino Gaze in 1971. From then on he was responsible for dozens of radio plays by Kurt Vethake at Hansa Studios Berlin. From 1974 he even began to contribute his own theme songs and music. At the same time, he got increasingly into the Schlager business. In 1978 he landed his first number one hit in France (Spiderman).
Soon he was also composing and producing for Udo Jürgens, Peter Maffay (Tabaluga) and Roland Kaiser, with whom he was friends to the end.
