Died June 6, 2001 in Lebanon, New Hampshire, USA.
Best known for writing the lyrics to the musical "Man of La Mancha" (music by Mitch Leigh), winning two Tony Awards in 1966 for it.
Best known compositions include "(To Dream) The Impossible Dream", "Changing Partners" and "Ricochet (Rick-O-Shay)". Darion wrote for radio, TV, films, theatre and concerts.
