French conductor and composer, born January 10, 1910, in Lyon, died March 1, 1976, in Paris.
Studied with Albert Roussel (composition), Charles Munch, Roger Désormière (orchestral conducting), and Vincent d'Indy (harmony). He graduated in 1928 with a first prize for violin and worked before the war especially as a composer. Then started his career as a conductor and guest conductor. He was the conductor of Orchestre Des Concerts Lamoureux from 1951 to 1957.
