Soul funk bassist. (November 22, 1948 - January 18, 2012)
A mainstay of the West Coast disco scene, he also played on the Diana Ross hit “Love Hangover.” Davis started his career in the ’60s with The Friends Of Distinction before hooking up with L.T.D. in the early ’70s. The band eventually split up in 1983, after key members had left to start solo careers. Apart from his work with L.T.D. he has contributed as session musician in recordings of Johnny Bristol, Margie Joseph, Smokey Robinson, Martha Reeves, Alphonse Mouzon etc.
