Biography

Graeme Murray (born 14 December 1984, in Bracebridge) is a Canadian ice sledge hockey player. He contracted a virus when he was three, which spread to his spinal cord, causing paralysis. He made his debut for Canada's national team aged 15, and in 2002 was the team's youngest member at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Paralympic Games. In 2014 Murray retired from competition to move back to his hometown of Gravenhurst, Ontario. Since then he has been actively engaged in the community and won a seat on the town council during the Municipal Elections in October 2018.
