George A. Whiting (16 August 1884, Chicago, Illinois — 18 December 1943, New York City) was an American vaudeville lyricist and performer who co-wrote several highly successful songs, such as My Blue Heaven (1927) with Walter Donaldson, Every Little Bit Helps (1904) with Fred Fisher, High Up On A Hill Top (1928) with Abel Baer and Ian Campbell, and Saloon (1921) with Roland E. Llab.
Not to be confused with fellow songwriter Richard Whiting, who was active at the same time in the Tin Pan Alley and Hollywood songwriting communities.
