Recorded for Sun in 1957. Moved to Nashville in 1964 and worked with the Marijohn Wilkins singers.
Did TV commercials as "The Tennessean". Played "Tom Guthrie" on TV's Bret Maverick.
Hosted TV's American Sports Cavalcade and Truckin' U.S.A.
He was married to Patsy Bruce and is the father of Trey Bruce.
