Born June 12, 1886 in Buffalo, New York, USA.
Died June 12, 1954 in Greenwich, Connecticut, USA.
Married to singer/actress Irène Bordoni (1918-1929, divorced).
Known for songs such as "For Me and My Gal", Goetz published over 500 songs during his career, many originally written for the New York stage, songwriting for Broadway musicals from 1906-1930.
Goetz's younger sister Dorothy married Irving Berlin in 1912, dying of typhoid on their honeymoon.
