David Brandes was born in Basel, Switzerland, of the 9th of December 1968.
Member of Bros Music. Co-producer and co-writer with Bernd Meinunger and Felix Gauder of many German dance acts such as E-Rotic, Fancy, Bad Boys Blue, Heart Attack, Nina (for the track "Wanna Feel So Good"), Dance 4 Color, Dschinghis Khan, Apanachee, Beat Control, Pop Secret, IQ-Check, The Lovers, Missing Heart, etc.
He also had a solo career and released several singles under his own name.
It was revealed recently (and confirmed by himself) that he was the real voice of every E-Rotic rappers, apart from the very first single.
From 2002 to 2005, he worked on several dance projects such as Crescent and Xandoo (with Lydia, the last E-rotic vocalist as frontwoman).
In April 2005, David Brandes openly admitted to have manipulated the German charts by buying a large amount of the Vanilla Ninja's and Gracia's last singles (produced by himself). After this scandal, the singles were banned from charts, Swiss broadcaster SF DRS dissolved their contracts with him, and German broadcaster NDR excluded him from the German delegation for Kyev.
In this time he dated Gracia Baur who stayed with him during the scandal.
He has been producing Shanadoo since 2006.
