Biography
Czech composer, arranger, band leader, conductor, pianist, producer, mastermind. Born June 27, 1932 in Pardubice (former Czechoslovakia), died June 7, 1998 in Prague (Czech Republic). Also known as Boban Ondráček. In the early 1960s discoverer and mentor of Marta Kubišová and Václav Neckář, 1968–1970 artistic director of the Golden Kids. In 1968 he was one of the initiators of a “capitalist” record producer system at Supraphon. Releases produced by Ondráček were usually labeled as “Bob-Serie”. (Supraphon then terminated the producer system in the early 1970s.)
