Bob Castella was born on September 11, 1910 in Paris, France as Maurice François Castella. He was married to Denise Knabé, Andrée Roger and Esther Lévy. He died on December 20, 1993 in Paris.
May 11, 1948, he leads his orchestra for the recording of the French song "C'est si bon" which was written in 1947 by Henri Betti (music) and André Hornez (lyrics). The singer was Yves Montand.
December 14, 1948, he leads his orchestra for the first recording of the French song "Rien dans les Mains, rien dans les Poches" which was written by Henri Betti (music) and André Hornez (lyrics). The singer was Yves Montand.
