Biography

British hardcore/anarcho-punk band formed in 1980, in Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire.
The lineup consists of Nick Blinko (vocals, guitar), Grant Matthews (bass), and Jon Greville (drums). They are legendary for their fast, aggressive, and macabre sound, as well as their distinct visual identity. Frontman Nick Blinko is known for his surreal lyrics and intricate, nightmarish pen-and-ink artwork that covers all the band's releases. His diagnosed schizoaffective disorder heavily influences his art and lyrics. While early songs tackled anarcho-punk political topics, Blinko’s writing quickly shifted to themes of death, madness, existential dread, and intense anti-religious commentary.
Despite a massive cult following, the band stopped playing live shows in the mid-1980s and completely withdrew from the public eye. Their back catalog started getting reissued in 2021 by Sealed Records.
