American bass player. In November 1972, he replaced Berry Oakley (who died in a motorcycle accident) in the group The Allman Brothers Band until 1976, after which he was among the founders of the group "Sea Level."
Born: January 14, 1949 in Gulfport, Mississippi.
Died: January 21, 1983 (died of cancer).
