About

If metal is anything, it’s a forceful raging against the powers that be, and Megadeth’s United Abominations, with its hyperfocused cohesion (“Sleepwalker”) and the driving, layered thrash glory heard on the title track, is a wholly powerful force. Indeed, on this, one of their more political albums (and that’s saying something), Megadeth want to hold the world responsible for its atrocities (“Gears of War”) the best way they know how: with decimating riffs and towering beats.
