The Remix

About

Stefani Germanotta’s dizzying rise as Lady GaGa commenced less than two years ago. Yet the fledgling icon seems like she’s been a part of pop culture all century, with phrases such as “P-p-p-poker face” and “Ra ra-ah-ah-ah/Roma roma-ma” natural parts of everyday conversation. This is even before the performance art-worthy videos, live renditions of hit singles and beyond the eye catching outfits, shoes, and even hairdos – is the music. The Remix serves as an unofficial overview of a career very much in progress, with re-engineered versions of seven number ones from both her The Fame and The Fame Monster albums. While La GaGa’s original versions are already rooted in electro pop, these ten remixes freshen up the beats while maintaining the integrity of the lyrics and those oh so familiar melodies.
