The front cover, painted by and now owned by Henry Rollins, shows caricatures of well known personalities from the 1970s. The four members of The Ruts sit on a sofa in the centre of the painting (left to right: Malcolm Owen, Paul Fox, David Ruffy and John Jennings reading a copy of Exchange & Mart). Other identifiable characters include (clockwise from top) Keith Richards, Rat Scabies and Captain Sensible of The Damned, Charlie Watts (unconfirmed) and Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Pursey of Sham 69, astronomer Patrick Moore, John Peel (with a girl on his lap), Peter Sellers (unconfirmed), Peter Cook and Dudley Moore (in a bowler hat). The band's roadie is also included, along with various wives and girlfriends of the band members.
