Elmer Bernstein's score for John Sturges' Western "The Magnificent Seven" had won an Academy Award nomination in 1960. Bernstein revisited the score for director Burt Kennedy's sequel achieving a further Academy Award nomination in 1966, although no original soundtrack album was ever issued for "Return Of The Seven".
