Rapture Of The Deep is the 18th studio album by Deep Purple. It was recorded and released in 2005. A tour edition followed some months later with a bonus CD containing live tracks and session left-out. The band embarked on a lenghty, multiple-leg tour, during which they played many of the album's tracks and even the left-out, such as "Things I Never Said" and "The Well-Dressed Guitar". These two track, along with the title track are still in the band's setlist as of 2010. The title track became a kind of a live favourite among fan. The album was generally praised by fans and reviewer, reaching top40 in some European countrie, e.g. #10 in Germany and #11 in Finland. It was the second album recorded by Mark VIII, that features: Ian Gillan Roger Glover Steve Morse Ian Paice Don Airey .
