About

Pyromania marks the epochal moment when Def Leppard's and superproducer Mutt Lange's shared vision of a pop/metal marriage crystallized into something timeless and world shaking. With Lange's sterling sheen emphasizing the music's larger-than-life wallop, cuts like the ubiquitous "Photograph," "Foolin'," and "Rock of Ages" overflow with spotless, widescreen vocal harmonies and instant-classic pop melodies without sacrificing the metal-derived, gut-punching guitar riffs. It's no mystery why the album became a mega-platinum sensation that defined '80s rock and made these Brits superstars all over the globe.
