Prospekt's March EP by Coldplay

About

These extra cuts from 2008’s Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends show Coldplay in a playful experimental mode—working with Brian Eno has surely rubbed off. The biggest, stormiest anthem, "Life in Technicolor ii," finds Chris Martin at his most ethereal. "Now my feet won't touch the ground," he croons, a dreamy sentiment repeated on the acoustic, horn-kissed closing ballad. Meanwhile, "Rainy Day" may be the funkiest track, cut through with rich, slithering strings, while "Prospekt's March / Poppyfields" gets bathed in glimmering ambient synths—a stark contrast to the JAY Z-featuring clap-along "Lost+."
