About

"Mr. Moonlight" is the eighth studio album by British-American rock band Foreigner, released by Arista Records in Europe on 24 October 1994 and by BMG Entertainment in Japan on 23 November 1994. In the United States and Canada, it was released in early 1995 on the Rhythm Safari label. Recorded at seven studios across the United States, the album was produced by Mick Jones, Lou Gramm and Mike Stone, with additional production by Phil and Joe Nicolo. The album was the first in 15 years not to feature bassist Rick Wills, who had joined the band in 1979, and founding drummer Dennis Elliott. It was also the first Foreigner album since "Unusual Heat" (1991), which featured vocalist Johnny Edwards. Following the album's commercial performance, Gramm and Jones met in Los Angeles in early 1992 to discuss working together again, coinciding with the 1992 Los Angeles riots. Intended as a comeback album, "Mr. Moonlight" achieved limited commercial success, peaking at number 136 on the Billboard 200. It became Foreigner's lowest-selling studio album and their final studio release until "Can't Slow Down" in 2009.
