About

Live Era ‘87-’93 showcases how GnR conquered rock during that time. “You’re Crazy” is slower and meaner than the studio version, and “Out ta Get Me”—featuring Axl Rose’s deafening, paranoid screech—captures their crude, late-’80s collision of metal boogie and punk venom. In stark contrast, the 12-minute “November Rain,” with synth strings, horns, and an extended piano intro, is a testament to the humongous hard-rock sound that made them arena stars in the ’90s.
