About
In the early ’80s, Van Morrison released an enchanted trio of albums that combined spiritual and poetic themes with folk and jazz influences for a transcendentally soulful feel. This 1984 concert recording from his hometown of Belfast focuses on that otherworldly material, as the intensity of Morrison’s performance pushes the music to an even deeper place. From the luminous elegance of “Dweller on the Threshold” to the ethereal beauty of “Haunts of Ancient Peace,” this is Van at his most majestically mystical.
