Ninth Georges Brassens abum is a special case. did not want to wait until the end of a technicians' strike to release the recording of the songs that had been premiered at the in the spring of 1966. Thus was born the white disc IX (France 1966) (opens in a new tab) which bears the TNP stamp and was issued on LP late 1966.
It was reissued on many versions (LP, cassette, CD) on same series with same title 'IX', on later series with title '9 - Supplique Pour Etre Enterré A La Plage De Sète' and also outside of those series, on French, Japanese, Spanish and Israelian versions.
This release is regarded as ninth of the « 12 albums du répertoire » on L’Amandier site (link on Georges Brassens page).
