"Freedom" is the fifteenth studio album by the American rock band Journey, released on July 8, 2022, through BMG Rights Management and Frontiers Record. It is the second Journey studio album not to feature founding bassist Ross Valory, who left the band in 2020. He was replaced by Randy Jackson, who had previously performed with the band on "Raised on Radio" (1986). With a runtime of approximately 73 minutes and 15 track, "Freedom" is the longest studio album released by Journey. The album was released 11 years after "Eclipse" (2011), marking the longest gap between two Journey studio albums at the time. It is the only Journey album to feature drummer and producer Narada Michael Walden. Both Walden and Jackson departed from the band before the album's release. Critical reception for "Freedom" was mixed. Reviewers generally praised the performances and musicianship, while criticism focused on the album's production, mixing, and length. .
