About

Equator is the 16th album by Uriah Heep, released in 1985. It marked the band's further departure into AOR style of music, which was hard to accept by most old fan. Furthermore, it lacked any serious promotion. "Rockarama" and "Poor Little Rich Girl" were released as single. It was the only UH album not to be re-relased in 1997 and 2004, when the rest of their discography was offered as expanded edition. The band and Sanctuary could not reach an agreement with SONY CBS, who released the original version of Equator. Eventually, the expanded deluxe edition was released in 2010 with 4 bonus track. It was the first and last album recorded by this line-up of Uriah Hee, which included: Pete Goalby Mick Box Trevor Bolder John Sinclair Lee Kerslake .
