Ella Fitzgerald did two takes on the Gershwin songbook. This master release is for the first of the two, the 1950 recordings arranged by Sy Oliver and accompanied by pianist Ellis Larkins.
Later, in 1959, Fitzgerald recorded the massive 5 LP Gershwin songbook set w. Nelson Riddle's orchestra (see Ella Fitzgerald Sings The George And Ira Gershwin Song Books). Do not add versions of the 1959 recordings to this master release.
