The fourth studio album, released in 1979. It represents a major sonic shift for the band as Ritchie Blackmore sought a more mainstream, radio-friendly sound, replacing Ronnie James Dio with former Marbles vocalist Graham Bonnet and bringing in ex-Deep Purple bassist Roger Glover.
The musical pivot paid off commercially, yielding the band's first massive hit singles. The album features the iconic, catchy tracks "Since You Been Gone" (written by Russ Ballard) and "All Night Long," which propelled Rainbow into global arena-rock stardom.
