"Death on the Road" is a live album and video by Iron Maiden, released on 29 August 2005 on CD and vinyl format, and on 6 February 2006 on DVD. The recording was made at the Westfalenhallen in Dortmund, Germany, on 24 November 2003 during the "Dance of Death World Tour". The release charted in several countrie, including Finland (number 5), Sweden (number 7), Norway (number 12), France (number 14), Italy (number 17), Switzerland (number 17), Spain (number 18), the United Kingdom (number 22), Ireland (number 27), the Netherlands (number 39), and India (number 29). The video edition was issued as a three-DVD set. The first two discs contain the concert footage in 5.1 digital audio and stereo format, while the third disc includes supplementary material such as a documentary and promotional videos for "Wildest Dreams" and "Rainmaker". The documentary, directed by Matthew Amo, has a running time of approximately 70 minutes and documents the recording of the album "Dance of Death" at Sarm West Studios in London, as well as preparations for the subsequent tour. It includes interviews with members of the band’s road crew and additional footage of crew and fans recorded at Earls Court in London, presented as separate features titled "Life on the Road" and "The Fans". The documentary also contains early released footage of the band in the recording studio. Following the original DVD release in 2006, some users reported playback issues with the stereo disc. The band stated that the matter would be investigated. Subsequently, the United States release date of the DVD was postponed from 21 February 2006 to 30 January 2007 due to production-related issue. .
